"We were together. I forget the rest."
Paige and Max. Where to even begin describing these adorable and self-less individuals?
Comforting. Authentic. Candid. Supportive. Joyful. Caring.
All of those terms summing up their relationship were perfectly captured in their engagement session by JTobiason Photography. But what makes them even more special is how Paige and Max don't just reserve those traits for each other, but extend them to how they treat everyone who enters their lives.
My first interaction with the two was over a FaceTime call because the couple resides in New York, and I in Seattle. For the time being, it was our best option for "meeting" one another. (Also, sidenote: I don't know what situation creates more anticipation...being in a coffee shop looking up every time the door jingles awaiting a couple you have never met before, or staring at your phone screen as you are FaceTime-ing a couple you have never met before waiting for them to accept your call).
Though I don't remember exactly what jokes were exchanged, I just have this lasting imprint in my mind of the two sitting on their couch throwing back squinted-eye, open-mouthed laughter during our initial meeting. I loved how quickly they had opened up and had no problem being themselves in front of me.
From there, they shared stories of their past seven years together. They described to me their love of the outdoors. Their love for the arts. Their love for each other.
In August, after seven years of being together and almost two full years of their engagement, Paige and Max will be celebrating the marriage of their lives together here in Seattle. Let's just say there will definitely be more images to come of the two against a scenic water backdrop:)
