The Woodmark Hotel
Having never visited the venue prior to their wedding weekend, Brooke and Jarrett placed their full trust in Pacific Engagements to bring their vision for a timeless celebration at The Woodmark Hotel to life. They envisioned a very traditional black and white wedding aesthetic—but wanted to ensure the design felt luxurious, rich, and intentional rather than flat. To achieve this, we drew inspiration from the bride’s wedding gown, letting the reception tabletops mirror its intricate beauty.
Brooke was a timeless vision in her Alençon lace, Pnina Tornai sheath gown. The delicate pearl-fastened long sleeves and V-neckline on the sheer corset bodice were reminiscent of Kate Middleton’s iconic wedding look, before cascading into a figure-sculpting skirt and pointed train.
The same romantic detailing carried through to the reception design, where intricate lace overlays adorned ivory linen tables, paired with heavy-weight black velvet napkins to create depth through texture. To further enhance the warmth of the ivory linens, each place setting featured gold-foiled menus and name cards, gold-trimmed ivory chargers, and matching cutlery—creating a refined, cohesive tablescape with just the right amount of opulence.
One of the most meaningful elements of the day was the thoughtful blend of their heritages—Norwegian and French. Guests were treated to a sweet fusion of both cultures during dessert, with pieces of the traditional kransekake almond cookie served alongside decadent macarons.
