In 1984, The Sabos said, “I do,” on the shores of Haller Lake at the home of their dear friends, The Jaegers. Over the years, the couples stayed close and started their individual families at the same time. Both families gathered together for leisure and for special events, especially at The Jaegers lakefront home. And over the years, their daughters, Chelsea and Paige, grew up being each other’s best friends and developed their own strong friendship.
After going separate ways and beginning their own lives away from Seattle, Paige, the Sabos’ daughter, returned to The Jaegers’ home for Chelsea’s childhood home wedding. It was so special being in the home that held so many childhood memories. And it was even more sweet that The Jaegers’ home had the honor of being the setting for another wedding after all of those years.
When it came time for Paige to marry, she and her fiancé, Max, decided it would only be fitting to exchange vows at the very same house where her best friend had wed, as well as where her parents had married decades ago.
Their backyard wedding ceremony took place beneath a canopy of trees, with the glistening waters and vibrant green lily pads of Haller Lake providing a serene backdrop for guests to admire. And after they exchanged their vows, Paige and Max walked to the boat dock together to recreate a nostalgic picture from her parents' wedding. Sitting on the same dock bench where her parents had once sat, they nonchalantly fed the ducks swimming gracefully by.
A live jazz ensemble started off the reception, courtesy of The Apollo Trio. With the music setting the relaxed mood for guests, Paige and Max stole away for a private canoe ride on the lake. Max gently guided them across the water, and they were able to soak up the initial moments of being married while floating freely on the tranquil lake throughout the sunset.
