Colorful Al Fresco Wedding at Ruth Bancroft Gardens

April 30, 2023 Alyssa Ayala

In the heart of April, Sarah and Garry married at Walnut Creek’s Ruth Bancroft Gardens, an immaculately landscaped property planted with numerous species of cacti, succulents, and drought-tolerant plants from all around the world.

The gravel garden path leading towards Ruth’s Folly was lined with wooden bentwood chairs, arranged meticulously to follow the evolving curves of the adjacent garden beds. Guests selected their seats in the asymmetrical rows and eagerly awaited the ceremony’s beginning.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued in the sun-dappled shade of Ruth Bancroft Gardens’ Eucalyptus Grove. Round reception tables were surrounded with natural wooden chairs, and the tabletops were covered with colorful floral bud vase groupings, lovingly crafted by Sarah and her bridesmaids. Guests were presented with a delectable, organic, farm-to-table, family-style dinner during the al fresco dinner reception.

Monochrome Winter Wedding at Seattle’s SODO Park

November 25, 2022 Alyssa Ayala

On Cameron and Jaylen’s crisp winter wedding day, guests bundled in their best ascended the candle-lined stairway before entering the warm, industrial foyer of SODO Park. Upon entering the venue, guests then walked through the tied-back ivory drapes which led them to the cozy, candle-lit ceremony space. The front of the ceremony was defined by an asymmetric pair of free-standing floral-covered columns, consisting of baby's breath, white roses, dried grasses, and lunaria.

Hanging bistro lights dangled gracefully above the ceremony space, creating a canopy of illumination that cast a warm and romantic glow over the entire scene. The soft, golden light from above was mirrored by the aisle lined with hundreds of ivory pillar candles within clear glass hurricane vases. The soft flicker of candlelight illuminated the path, casting a soft, intimate ambiance that seemed to come alive with every step. The candles, in their varying heights, added depth to the atmosphere, creating a sense of intimacy to the setting for the couple to exchange their vows.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to indulge in an assortment of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the adjacent room while the ceremony space was transformed into an industrial monochrome wedding dinner reception. Long exposed wood reception tables lined the center of the venue, surrounded by round tables covered in white table linens. These tables were adorned with flickering candlelight and plumes of playful baby’s breath, creating a rustic yet elegant ambiance. At the front of the room, the bride and groom sat at their candle-lit, rustic sweetheart table facing their wedding guests so they could fully witness and take in the special gathering.

Boho Sikh Wedding at Newcastle Golf Club

December 9, 2021 Alyssa Ayala

In the quiet of the morning, guests began arriving at Newcastle Golf Club for the Baraat, the centuries-old Sikh tradition of the bride’s family welcoming the groom upon his arrival. After the excitement, each attendee filed into the Prestwick Terrace, which the bride and groom had arranged to transform into a fully white, monochrome space. The wooden white mandap, adorned with sheer white fabric and dried grasses, stood as the focal point in the expansive room. Before it, the couple sat in their matching ivory lehenga and sherwani, and exchanged vows amidst the soothing hymns sung by the priests. The words resonated with the gathered guests, echoing centuries-old traditions and blessings.

Summer Courtyard Wedding In West Seattle

March 5, 2020 Alyssa Ayala

In the picturesque setting of The Hall at Fauntleroy in West Seattle, the lush grass lawn served as the perfect canvas for the outdoor wedding ceremony. The honey wood chairs, with their natural warm tones, were arranged in an orchestra style, gently curved towards the ceremony front, ensuring that every guest had an unobstructed view of the proceedings.

The outdoor courtyard reception welcomed guests with a sense of warmth and elegance. Rectangular reception tables and high cocktail tables were strategically placed, providing spaces for guests to gather and celebrate. Adorned with all-white table settings, the tables’ focal points were the vibrant, colorful centerpieces. Mustard, cream, and pink hues added the essence of spring and romanticism.

The combination of the natural wood tones from the chairs with the flowers’ warm mustard and ivory hues created a visually stunning, fresh, and harmonious palette. The result was a celebration that felt relaxed and undeniably romantic, making everyone who attended forget that they were in Seattle, and instead felt as if they were dining in a European villa.
